Public Program

Celebrating Sendak

Wednesday, May 9, 2012 - 12:00pm - 8:00pm

It is with great sadness that the Rosenbach says goodbye to its longtime trustee, supporter and good friend Maurice Sendak, whose work is a cornerstone of the collection. As a tribute to his lifelong dedication to the Rosenbach, we will be open to the public free of charge on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. We hope you can join us as we remember and celebrate his truly remarkable life.

In addition to seeing a two-gallery exhibition exclusively dedicated to Mr. Sendak’s work, you’ll see one other special exhibition, take a tour of the historic house, and browse our shop - featuring over 50 hard-to-find books authored and/or illustrated by Mr. Sendak.
