Research at the Rosenbach Museum & Library

The Rosenbach makes its library and fine and decorative arts collections available for research by anyone with an interest in them. While approximately half of our researchers are “traditional scholars”—academic faculty and graduate students—we also welcome younger students and their teachers, as well as artists, writers, and other creative professionals; librarians, collectors, curators, dealers, and others with inquiring minds.

Research Services

Research appointments should be made by contacting the Library staff at 215-732-1600 x 115 or by eefuller [at] rosenbach [dot] org (e-mail) in advance of arrival; a week’s notice is preferred.

The staff also welcomes and answers brief inquiries from off-site researchers by phone, mail, e-mail, or via our on-line Collections-Based Inquiries forms available below.
