Summer of Wonder at The Rosenbach

Another Summer of Wonder is here and The Rosenbach is again excited to offer free admission for families to the museum!

Once you step through our stately front doors, you’ll find a house filled with weird, wacky, and wonderful things that will delight and enchant the entire family. Pick up a copy of the Journey Around the World activity guide, which gives kids the chance to explore places like Egypt, England, and Alaska. Children will have so much fun, they won’t even realize they’re learning about art, culture, and geography!

Usually we say don’t judge a book by its cover, but we encourage you to judge to your heart’s content in our special exhibition of books with marbleized covers. After seeing all the amazing examples of book arts, we invite you to be an artist and create a booklet with marbleized paper. When it’s done, you can fill its pages with stories and pictures about your time at The Rosenbach.

The family guide and book making activity is available all summer-long during museum hours. But we’ve also got two special programs to share with you. If you have a preschooler in your life, we hope you will join us for Museum Adventures at The Rosenbach on July 25 and August 29, a free program for babies and young children. Activities include storytime, a scavenger hunt through the Rosenbach’s historic house and exhibitions, hands-on art-making activities, creative play, and snacks. No need to register, just wheel the stroller towards Delancey place at 10:00 am.
