Updates and information on The Rosenbach’s response to COVID-19

Updated May 20, 2020

To the members of The Rosenbach community,

As Philadelphia strives to limit the impact of COVID-19 in our city, we are all facing uncertainty, hard decisions, and unprecedented changes to our daily lives.

The Rosenbach will be closed to the public along with all Free Library locations until further notice. Most programs and events scheduled through the end of May will be cancelled or postponed unless they can be presented digitally.

The Rosenbach relies on ticket purchases and contributions from individuals to meet its mission. During this unexpected closure, we ask that ticket purchases be re-designated as contributions to sustain our operations. We will be delighted to formally acknowledge your contribution when we reopen.

If you would like a refund on a ticket purchase, please contact [email protected]Please be aware that refunds rely on staff availability and may take several days to process. We appreciate your patience.  Thank you so much for your support of The Rosenbach and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Throughout the coming weeks, stay tuned to our resource page for further updates in this ever-evolving situation along with digital resources to access our collection.

Thank you so much for your support and your care for each other and our community during this uncertain time — we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Derick Dreher, Ph.D.
