House Tour: Romance at the Rosenbach

In honor of Valentine’s Day, enjoy an hour-long thematic tour of the Rosenbach brothers’ home. You’ll hear dramatic, playful, and sometimes scandalous tales of love behind fine art or rare books in our collection. Bring a date, bring a friend, or just bring yourself to celebrate the comedy and tragedy of love in a unique way this Valentine’s Day.

This tour is offered Tuesday, February 13 at 2:00 pm and Wednesday, February 14 at 12:00, 2:00, 4:00 and 6:00 pm. Advance registration is not required.

Historical House Tours

Let one of our expert guides walk you through the Rosenbach brothers’ 19th-century townhouse, including Dr. Rosenbach’s rare book library, Philip Rosenbach’s decorative art collection, and the re-creation of modernist poet Marianne Moore’s Greenwich Village living room. Tours with a specific theme may be offered for special occasions or seasonal celebrations; themed house tours will be listed on our online calendar when available.  Included in general admission, tours of the historic house last 50 minutes and are offered on the hour.
