Bold, cautious, resolved, ambivalent, and sometimes all of the above, lesbian, gay, and bisexual people before Stonewall strove for authentic identities in art, literature, and love.  Discover the hidden histories of queer luminaries through their writings and artwork, both published and private. From Jean Cocteau’s gloriously gay illustrations for Le Livre Blanc, to an exquisitely explicit Lesbian love poem in Isadora Duncan’s hand, to homoerotic sonnets by Shakespeare himself, join us for a gay old time exploring the erotic imagination of queer artists.
