We invite you to become a member of the Rosenbach Museum & Library and enjoy a dazzling array of unique programs, exciting courses, and special access to one of the world’s most distinctive collections of rare books and manuscripts. With a growing collection that spans eight centuries and many cultural traditions, the beauty and art of the written word is here for you to explore and enjoy, in person or online, with loved ones or during private moments of reflection.

Membership Types
General Members
Support from our members helps sustain all aspects of the Rosenbach’s mission, from stewarding our priceless collection, to offering accessible and engaging programs and courses for people of all ages and backgrounds in Philadelphia and around the world. Our general members are supporters from the Langston Hughes level to the Charlotte Brontë level. These members enjoy numerous benefits outlined below.
Young Friends of the Rosenbach
The Young Friends of the Rosenbach is a social group of young professionals between the ages of 21 and 45 who share a common appreciation for the art of the written word, history, and the culture of Philadelphia. In addition to making literature fun, approachable, and accessible to Philadelphia’s next generation of leaders, the Young Friends care deeply about investing in the future of their community by serving as advocates for the Rosenbach’s mission.
Young Friends events range from cocktail parties and hands-on workshops to exclusive opportunities to enjoy and engage with the Rosenbach’s preeminent collection of rare books, manuscripts, and fine and decorative arts objects. Young Friends receive a special ticket price that admits two guests for all applicable events. (Regular tickets admit one guest).
Rosenbach members at the Abigail Adams level or above are invited to participate in the Young Friends program. To join, select the option to “Join Young Friends” when making your membership gift online.

Delancey Society
The Delancey Society provides a critical base of support that impacts all aspects of the Rosenbach’s mission—from stewarding and exhibiting our peerless collection, to offering a diverse range of events and programs and comprehensive research services available to all. Members enjoy a robust calendar of events and programs in Philadelphia and beyond that offers exclusive access to our collection and the global rare book community. These members are supporters from the Lewis Carroll Circle level to the James Joyce Circle level. Delancey Society Members enjoy the greatest number of benefits and privileges and are our most esteemed members.
