The Young Friends of the Rosenbach

The Young Friends of the Rosenbach is a social group of young professionals between the ages of 21 and 45 who share a common appreciation for the art of the written word, history, and the culture of Philadelphia. In addition to making literature fun, approachable, and accessible to Philadelphia’s next generation of leaders, the Young Friends care deeply about investing in the future of their community by serving as advocates for the Rosenbach’s mission.

Young Friends events range from cocktail parties and hands-on workshops to exclusive opportunities to enjoy and engage with the Rosenbach’s preeminent collection of rare books, manuscripts, and fine and decorative arts objects. These include some of the best-known literary and historical objects in the world, such as James Joyce’s manuscript of Ulysses, and Bram Stoker’s notes for Dracula.

All proceeds from Young Friends events support the Rosenbach’s conservation efforts to steward our renowned holdings for generations to come. Young Friends further support the future of the Rosenbach by maintaining an active membership at the Abigail Adams level or above.
