Description

Jane Austen always warned her readers to be sensible in their fashion choices, to “dress smart and behave civil.” However, that has not stopped readers for hundreds of years from becoming fascinated with the fashion of the Regency era. From empire waists to silky satin and structured tailcoats, the men and women of Jane Austen’s England knew that every hallway was a runway.

Have you ever wondered about the process behind making these gorgeous costumes? Want to learn tips and tricks to making your own ensembles? Join us for this members-only event, where seamstress Catlyn Gregory will spill the secrets of the atelier and demonstrate easy ways to make costumes at home.

Space is limited and advance registration is strongly recommended.
