Please join artist Holly Trostle Brigham and poet Wendy Sloan in a brand-new Members Only Event and the Rosenbach as they discuss their collaboration on the creation of the artist book, Amicizia. Amicizia is an imagined friendship book between two Baroque Italian women artists, Artemisia Gentileschi and Giovanna Garzoni. Over the last few years, Brigham read new research uncovering the decades-long friendship and interactions between the two artists, culminating in their travel to England together, and the idea for the book was born. Brigham will describe the design and art work that went into making the book. Sloan will read her sonnet crown, an imagined epistolary or letter exchange between the two 17th Century artists.
