Description

Celebrate Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales with live readings in Middle English and presentations of our Chaucer manuscripts. Enjoy a presentation of our Chaucer holdings by Rosenbach Librarian Elizabeth Fuller and readings in Middle English from The Canterbury Tales.

University of Penn Professor David Wallace, author of Geoffrey Chaucer: A New Introduction, will be on hand to read for us.  Check out this video clip of Professor Wallace: Chaucer’s Middle English – Don’t Be Intimidated!

Attendees can also participate in our open reading of Chaucer’s Middle English. For some tips on reading in Middle English, listen to these clips at Penn Sound.
