The Rosenbach Debuts New Podcast

December 2, 2021—The Rosenbach is proud to announce the release of The Rosenbach Podcast. The new podcast shares the stories of some of the iconic treasures and lesser-known artifacts in our collections as we consider the place of rare books, libraries, and museums in modern life.
“The Rosenbach Podcast takes the best, most compelling stories out of this historically rich collection and transforms them into episodes you can listen to anytime and anywhere,” says Kelsey Scouten Bates, the Executive Director for The Rosenbach. “From The Rosenbach’s connection to the ill-fated Titanic to the world of modern pop-up book art, the Rosenbach Podcast proves just how contemporary rare books and manuscripts can be.”
In the podcast, members of The Rosenbach’s Collections staff reveal what it’s like to spend their 9-to-5 caring for generations of history, and share some of their favorite surprises that reside on our shelves.
“One of the wonderful things about The Rosenbach is that its staff and community members are just about as interesting as the collections we hold,” says Dr. Alexander Lawrence Ames, The Rosenbach’s Collections Engagement Manager and host of The Rosenbach Podcast. “As you listen to the podcast, you’ll get to know the characters who spend their time on Delancey Place and hear their personal insights into The Rosenbach’s collections, and the work they do.”
The first four episodes are available now at rosenbach.org/podcast or wherever you listen to your podcasts. New episodes will debut every Wednesday until February 9, 2022.
