Join us at Art in the Age to celebrate the release of Fortunato’s Fate, the newest whiskey from our partners at New Liberty Distilling. Fortunato’s Fate is a malted rye whiskey finished in sherry casks from Spain. It takes its name from Edgar Allan Poe’s short story “The Cask of Amontillado”, where Fortunato is entombed alive in the wine cellar of his friend Montresor, who has lured him with the promise of fine Amontillado sherry. Edward Pettit from the Rosenbach (also known as “Philly Poe Guy”) will be on hand to speak about Poe’s story, the Art in the Age staff will be mixing up a cocktail, and bottles of Fortunato’s Fate will be on sale. Grab a ticket now to be among the first to try this exclusive release, available only at Art in the Age.
