On Handwriting, Love, and Secrets

Christine Nelson is the Drue Heinz Curator of Literary and Historical Manuscripts at the Morgan Library & Museum. The Austrian author and autograph collector Stefan Zweig once said that “the gift of a manuscript is also the gift of a secret — a secret that unveils itself only for love.” Join Christine Nelson, longtime curator of manuscripts at New York’s Morgan Library, for a reflection on the joys and challenges of engaging with handwritten documents in the digital era.
