Do you love good food, great wine, witty conversation, and supporting the Rosenbach? If so, mark your calendars for Thursday, May 3 and join us for The 2018 Rosenbacchanal: A Celebration of Female Luminaries.
Every year, friends of the Rosenbach gather for an evening in support of the mission and work of the Rosenbach. This year our celebration will take a special look at the women who contribute to the Rosenbach. We’ll toast the female literati represented in our collection, honor our Vice Chair Lenore Steiner for her enduring support and dedication, and celebrate the women of the future. The evening will also feature a conversation between two brilliant women: Marty Moss-Coane from WHYY’s Radio Times will interview Sophia Rosenfeld, the Walter H. Annenberg Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania.
The Rosenbacchanal is our largest fundraiser of the year, and with more than 60% of our funding coming from individuals this evening is a key part of ensuring the programs, exhibitions, and tours you have come to know and love can continue.
This intimate evening is a wonderful chance to support the Rosenbach and also to meet fellow lovers of literature and make new friends. Join us in the Grand Ballroom of the Rittenhouse Hotel and raise a glass to the women of the past, present, and future of the literature and rare book worlds. You can purchase tickets here or contact Alicia Thomas at 215-732-1600, ext. 123 or [email protected].
